I am way too tired to come up with a catchy title for this post. :) So without further ado, here is the first set from our mini-sessions this last weekend to benefit Team Trevor. In no particular order:

The Organic Kitchen

I'm Exhausted.

Wow! What a great day we had! Thank you so much to all who made the fundraiser for Team Trevor such a success! We were able to fill all the session spots. I spent a total of about four hours shooting today. My back is killing me! lol. I should be in bed, and so I will sign off for now. Be sure to looks for sneak peeks in the coming days!

Team Trevor

I wanted to update you all on the progress of our fundraising for Team Trevor. We have already been able to donate $175! I have only two mini-sessions left for Saturday, April 19th. One at 1:45 and the other at 2:30. The session fee is $75, $25 of which will go to Team Trevor. 20% of your portrait order will also be donated. You may know that some friends of mine lost their 15 year old son to a rare type of throat cancer last year. Last year in honor of Trevor they decided to participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event in Santa Clarita.

I would like to help them raise money for Team Trevor this year by holding another day of Mini-Sessions and donating a portion of the proceeds. These Minis are 30 minutes long and my pricing will be reduced. I haven't settled on an exact date for the sessions, but I think that it will probably be the 19th or 26th of April. The Relay For Life event is May 31st. There will be a limited number of sessions available. If you would like to be notified when I finalize the dates and details please leave your e-mail address in the comments section, or shoot me an e-mail at judy@judyphanphotography.com. I should have it all worked out by the end of the week at the very latest.

This is a great chance to get beautiful portraits at a reduced cost and help out a worthy cause at the same time! Please feel free to forward this post to anyone you think might be interested.

Girls' Weekend: Part II

"Wife"

It's so much more relaxed after the wedding! We made our way down to Old Town & city hall today and were so glad we did! It was the perfect day for portraits. Almost no one was at city hall, and I hadn't realized how beautiful it is inside. About a third of the way through a man with a guitar came and sat and played some music. He was actually very good! He was really nice as well, he wished Charles and Laura congratulations and a happy marriage. Very sweet. Laura's bouquet was made by my awesome friend Tiffany. Isn't it beautiful? Thanks Charles and Laura; I hope you had as much fun as I did!

What I Did Today

I had the pleasure of hanging out with one of my best friends and her in-laws today. They are having a girls' weekend, how fun! It's been a very busy day, and I am off to my parent's house tonight. I only had time to glance through them before heading out, but here are a couple of favorites. Stay tuned, there will be more to come. Thanks so much girls, I had a blast!

I am a member of an organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, which provides bereavement photography for babies born still or who are not expected to live. It was founded by Cheryl Haggard, a mother who lost her new son, and Sandy Puc', the photographer whom the Haggards called to photograph their family before their sweet baby passed away. This non-profit organization provides families with photographs of their precious baby.
